Insight is a cheap, very popular Runeword, that is often used by casters and mercenaries. It grants your character a Meditation Aure when equipped, a faster cast rate, passive mana regeneration, and more. If you want to know how to get it as fast as possible and if it fits your build, stick with this guide until the end. This rune word is especially recommended for the Act 2 Mercenary because he can use polearms and support you with the Meditation Aura. You can also use it with the Druid, Sorceress, and Necromancer. Then with a Staff as the base. This Runeword is definitely worth farming. It can be considered inexpensive and has a Meditation Aura with massive mana regeneration and more.
Make sure you have all runes available - 1x Ral Rune, 1x Tir Rune, 1x Tal Rune, 1x Sol Rune - then put them into the sockets of the base item, in the correct order pictured below. Pay extra attention to this. The rune word is 'RalTirTalSol' for a reason, so if you don't socket it in the exact order, the result would not be 'Insight' (and instead you would end up with a bunch of runes socketed into the base item).
Take your desired base item, then socket the runes in this exact order:
Use a Polearm for the Act 2 Mercenary and a Staff as base for other characters. If you use a Staff, pay attention to the bonuses, one with + to skills should be a must for skill-dependent classes like the Sorceress.
For Polearms: The Voulge, Colossus Voulge, and Bill have a maximum of 4 Sockets. The Scythes and Threshers are faster. Farm them in level 85 Areas.
Bardiche, Lochabar Ace, and Ogre Axe can not be used as a base for Insight, as they have a maximum of 3 Sockets.
To make the runeword you need a base with exactly 4 Sockets
The aura is boosting all your companions, and this rune word is not that expensive to craft. The aura comes with a faster cast rate, passive mana regeneration, and more.
One weakness is a low chance of a perfect or good roll, because of the wide level range of the Meditation Aura (lvl.12-17). Another weakness is the limitation to polearms and Staves only.
Runewords can have a huge difference in value. In order to find out the worth of the Insight Runeword, we need to add up the value of the single runes, as well as the base item used for socketing. Every roll will require these basic ingredients and will get you the Insight Runeword with random stats. This can be defined as the minimum value. The higher the stats of the roll, the higher the final value of the runeword. A "perfect roll" in a superior base tends to be the most rare and hence much more expensive than a random roll.
Yes, we can offer the already rolled Insight Runeword for you in different bases listed below.
Alternatively, you may want to get the unmade version, where we'll deliver the runes plus the base item to you. You can then complete the socketing yourself (offering a chance for a perfect roll, which would be of significantly higher value).
Here's the list of Insight Runewords in various Base Items and Stats, which we can source for you from our network of trusted trade partners.
Non-Superior base Items can be easily found or bought from a vendor NPC in the city, so an easy option get Insight in D2R is to buy the single runes in a pack and socket the runeword yourself. You can either add the below listed runes to your cart and have them delivered to you, or head over to our runes list to find some more.
In any case, if you want to build the Insight Runeword, you will need the following runes: 1x Ral Rune, 1x Tir Rune, 1x Tal Rune, 1x Sol Rune
